The Museum of Cultural Arts Houston (MOCAH) is one of the leading non-profit providers of community-based public art in Houston. Founded in 1999, our vision is to create a museum without walls, a museum that will go to those unable to come to us.
MOCAH is redefing the role of an art museum by creating our permanent collection within the communities we serve. We view the community as our canvas and the city as our gallery. With a sharp focus on public art design and production, MOCAH is providing artists, youth and residents with opportunities to transform their underserved communities into cultural and artistic points of interest. Public art gives everyone, regardless of economic, social or educational status the opportunity to experiene and appreciate creativity.
WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT! Everyone deserves art and your support can add momentum to the MOCAH Movement, a grass roots capaign designed to revitalize, beautify and enhance the quality of life for all.
